Vector Shaping and Logo Elements in CoelDRAW is our next tutorial in pro series explained in Urdu and Hindi. From Combine to Simplify, we’ll learn and practice.

In this tutorial, our topic is to use shaping tools to create custom vectors and elements to be used in logo designs. Basically, these tools help us manipulate different shapes or objects to create new things. We can select these tools from three different places:

1) When we have two or more shapes and we select any two of them and pick tool is selected from the CorelDRAW Tool Box then we can see different shaping options i.e. Combine (Ctrl + L), Weld, Trim, Intersect, Simplify, Front Minus Back, Back Minus Front, and Create Boundary etc.
2) We can also select it from Object Menu, or
3) We can go to Windows …Dockers and select the shaping docker.

To weld two shapes, we simply select and weld. The shape that is selected later will offer its effects to the first shape. We practiced weld option with practical examples and created different logo elements. Likewise, we practiced trim to cut out one shape from the other. Then we moved on towards other options. We also explored its docker and created interesting vectors.

We also practiced with Urdu Font. Same technique can be used for Hindi Script / Font etc.

In the end, we create a tri fold brochure document setting with bleed and margins (It was requested by one of our subscribers from India).
The document size we chose for brochure was A4. Then we divided it with 3 to get 3 rectangles. Finally we adjusted guides with the help of rulers to define safe margin and bleed area.
