Task 97 is all about famous WordPress Loop Complete Guide 2020 along with html to WordPress conversion Bootstrap Modal Forms under #WPSpartans300 Mission.
First of all, we started with Bootstrap Search Icon. We used built in Modal Code and made it dynamic with WordPress get_search_form. We can literally put anything within this modal i.e. Login Form, Membership forms, WooCommerce products etc. You name it.
Then we deleted all templates, single.php and index.php loop along with page.php. Started from scratch. Loop is the main powerhouse of WordPress. It’s famous among all WP developers/ programmers. I just tried to make it easy. Really, a piece of cake. I believe you’d understand it easily and conveniently. It’s in Urdu / Hindi as usual.
If we go to https://developer.wordpress.org and read about the loop, we get to know that “The Loop is the default mechanism WordPress uses for outputting posts through a theme’s template files. ”
First, we discussed what is loop in WordPress? Then we answered the following question:
Why loop is famous among WP Developers/ Programmers?
And how can we understand Loop the easy way in 2020?
How the famous WordPress Loop fetches data from the database and how do we display the fetched data within html markup?
First of all, we created demo posts. Then we learnt two variations of loop syntax. Then we fetched titles of the posts from database. Then we used permalink template tag to make titles clickable. Then, we fetched post content. Furthermore, we fetched the_post_thumbnail. In addition, we also practiced the_date and the(author template tags.
As you remember, we had created a featured courses section when we were creating bootstrap html template. Then we used the learnt skills within that container. In task 98, we’ll move towards WP_Query, Custom Fields, Metaboxes, Advanced Custom Field and other custom queries. Let’s reach there first.
