HTML is basic markup language. HTML5 training for WordPress is part of our Three Months Absolutely Free WordPress training under WP Spartans Mission 300. This is Part 2 and Task 29.
All WordPress Themes Markup is built upon HTML5 (these days). With Hyper text MarkUp Language, we create basic structure and schema of any WP site. Once the structure is ready, we add styles with the help of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). We add bells and whistles with help of JavaScript, and to make any static site dynamic, we use PHP and PHPMyAdmin (Database).
In this Task 29, we continued exploring structural and semantic tags of HTML5 along with examples step by step.
Along the way, we answered the following questions as well:
1) What is absolute path?
2) What is relative path?
3) Absolute Vs Relative URL?
4) What’s main difference between block and inline tags?
5) What’s W3 Standard for self closing html tags?
We also discussed:
1) Inline CSS
2) Internal CSS, and
3) External Stylesheets.
We discussed how to create nav menu in web page header. We created sections, articles and footer areas. We practiced br and hr tags as well.
We also explored how to use pre, code, kbd etc tags. We used mark, ins and del tags on different words to make our point clear.
Frontend Development Mission 2019 will lead us towards our set goals for sure.
